More of 20 years of TCR
The acronym TCR comes from the words Total Compact Road. The frame was originally designed by Mike Burrows, a legendary British bicycle designer, who took inspiration from the mountain bike frames of the early 90s. A smaller-than-usual main and rear triangle allowed for greater lightness and stiffness for the frame, as well as clear improvements in power transfer and efficiency. We all remember the 1998 TCR of the Spanish team ONCE, with Laurent Jalabert.
