Review and opinion of the Gobik CX Solid 2025 short sleeve jersey: A new standard in high performance jerseys.

After thousands of kilometers with different garments, I can say that finding the balance between performance and comfort in a jersey is not as easy as it seems. There are models that are very fast but uncomfortable, and others that are very comfortable but sacrifice aerodynamics. So when Gobik announced an evolution of the CX Pro -their most iconic jersey-, expectations were high, as it is one of the models with the best balance in this aspect.

The new Gobik CX Solid takes that classic line to the next level: it’s lightweight, comfortable, close-fitting, and has a clean design that exudes quality. But, above all, you can tell it’s been created with a head on its shoulders, from the first fabric to the last pocket.

EVOFLEX: The fabric that changes the experience

If there is a protagonist in this evolution, it is the new EVOFLEX fabric. It’s not just an aesthetic or elasticity improvement: we’re talking about a completely new feeling on the bike.

As soon as you put it on, you can feel the difference. It is ultra elastic and soft, without losing structure. It fits the body like a glove, without tightening, without marking, without generating that stiffness that you sometimes notice with more technical garments. The feel is silky, very pleasant, and the sensation of lightness is immediate. Whether you’re climbing a mountain pass, sprinting or riding at a steady pace: the jersey accompanies every movement without generating resistance or chafing.

And the best part is that this elasticity doesn’t translate into looseness. The cut is still snug and streamlined, but without the unnecessary pressure that sometimes makes you want to take it off after a couple of hours. To this is added a selection of materials that, in addition to being beautiful, fulfill a specific function in each area of the body.

On the move: a firm fit, without discomfort

One of the points that I value most after many hours on the bike is that the clothing does not move, but does not limit me. The waist fit of the CX Solid is particularly well achieved. Gobik has incorporated a larger, very flexible elastic band that runs around the entire lower perimeter of the jersey. The inside is micro-silicone, just enough so that the jersey does not ride up when moving, but without leaving marks on the skin or detracting from ventilation.

This balance translates into a feeling of continuous stability: no need to reposition the garment, neither when you change position, nor when you get out of the saddle, nor when your back pockets are loaded.

Safe, functional and easily accessible pockets

The rear incorporates the classic Gobik Retention System (GRS), which is much more than just a name for pockets. In practice, it means that whatever you put in stays in, even if you ride over broken terrain or throw your body forward. There are three pockets with angled cut and internal reinforcement.

Ventilation and visibility, even on long days

The CX Solid is designed for warm or very warm temperatures, and it certainly responds very well on long rides in the sun. The breathability of the fabric is excellent, and the snug fit of the collar together with the vivid cut of the sleeves avoids any feeling of suffocation or excessive heat.

In addition, Gobik has included discreet but effective reflective details, ideal for longer routes or when you have to get up early or come back late. They don’t stand out at first glance, but they do their job perfectly.

Conclusion: a jersey to forget you’re wearing it

The new Gobik CX Solid is a real and well thought out evolution of the classic CX. It’s fast, comfortable, stylish and functional. Everything is in its place, and you can tell that Gobik has listened to both the competitive rider and the rider who rides long routes for pure pleasure.
